BeYOUtiful Appliqué Monogram Pillow
So, I made this pillow today for my 13 year old daughter.
I used my scrap pile for the letters, some yarn for the "you" and a piece of fabric from a dress for the back and trim.
One thing I did differently this time...was that I cut the back piece of fabric about 2 inches longer on each side and then I just folded it over twice and sewed it one time to sew the whole pillow together.

Braided French twist loose updo.
Start with braiding a strand on either side of the head going away from the face and towards the back. Secure with a rubber band when both braids meet in the center and hang comfortably in the back.
Then pull all hair together at the nape of the neck and twist the hair together.

Planet Memorization Craft
This week we are memorizing the planets, so I came up with this craft to make things more interesting :-)
First, I found this great printable for free from sprouts:

I had the children color the planets and cut them out. Then I decided we were going to glue them on a dark background. So I found some paper bags and cut off the sides. I left the handle for a hanger ;-)...
Then we glued the planets and their names in order from the Sun.
My kids wanted to include Pluto, so we put a little Pom Pom thingy in its place. Then used glue to write:My

Then we sprinkled fine glitter over the glue...
After we shook the glitter off, we were finished!!
