Monogram Pillow
I made this sweet little pillow last night using scraps.
1. I first cut out the letter shapes, then sewed them on by hand using a top stitch.
2. Then I made a ruffle from a 5 inch wide strip of fabric folded in half.
3. I stitched the ruffle around the fabric, then put the back fabric together with the front fabric, outsides facing each other. The ruffle was tucked inside the "sandwich.
4. I stitched 3 sides of the pillow.
5. Then I flipped right side out. Stuffed the pillow insert inside and stitched the open end together!

Homeschool Lesson: Levels of the Rainforest
As we have studied the biomes, we have started looking deeper into rainforests. This is an art project that I created for my students to copy to demonstrate the 4 layers of the rainforest: emergent, canopy, understory, forest floor.
